Kind words for unkind days

Download: Seeking Sunshine Log

Sunshine-y moments are those that bring us comfort and warmth. A really good cuppa, a soft fluffy blanket, or a hug from a loved one. Anything that’s comforts us. Those little moments of sunshine might not completely clear the grey from our days, but they can offer some light.

Remembering to look for those sunshine-y moments is tricky, though. Especially when life throws lots of grey clouds our way. Brain fog can make thinking clearly so much harder.

Sometimes we need a little prompt. A reminder to seek out and note down three sunshine-y moments each day. They can help create a little break in otherwise thick, heavy clouds. The best bit about writing them down, is that we save them and look back on them when we’re having a rubbish day.

What do people say about our work?

“I love reading your emails – they pop into my inbox and so often capture how I’m feeling – it’s so reassuring to know that someone else knows how it feels when emotions go all tricksy on us. I just felt moved to let you know how you help…”
“Thank you for this brilliant email, it was very thought provoking (in a good way) and helped me to consider whereabouts I am at on the path to overcoming a very unpleasant experience I had.I’ve come so much further than I thought I had and this fact has given me such a boost to continue moving forward but I have to remember that the bad, sad, hard days may still creep in. But that’s okay, and I can and will get through them.Thank you so so much.”

“Just wanted to email to say a huge thanks for this email this week. It’s really resonating with so many things going on in my life right now and it’s good to be reminded that I’m not alone in these struggles.
Hope you’re taking care.”
