Our ‘Self-Care Through The Grotty Times’ BuddyBox – The Reaction

Life is a rollercoaster, that’s one thing we can all be certain of; it has more ups and downs than a merry-go-round. You think that you’re doing a-ok, that you’ve got this self-care thing sussed, and then, bam, something new pops up. When that happens, it’s easy for self-care to fall by the wayside – it just doesn’t seem as important anymore. But it’s self-care that gets us through the grotty times.

September’s BuddyBox was designed to encourage, handhold, and empower us through those gritty and grotty times. Packed full of soothing tools – including our brand new book, ‘365 Days of Self-Care: A Journal‘ – this ‘hug in a box’ helps us feel equipped to handle the grot that life sends our way.

Our 'Self-Care Through The Grotty Times' BuddyBox - The ReactionWhen we were creating this BuddyBox, we wanted to ensure it was a toolkit, of sorts; full of things that address some of the common barriers to self-care. We’ve included the Mapology Guide to help with addressing our wonky boundaries and the door hanger to give us space when we need it, but also to help identify and communicate our needs. Sleep is a pivotal part of self-care, so we hope the Shobu will help us to relax and feel sleepy. We’re delighted to include our second book, ‘365 Days of Self-Care: A Journal’, which encourages us to build self-care into every day, allows room to express the stress and helps us to work through some of our obstacles. And last, but by no means least, the 54 Self-Care Ideas For When We’re Running on Empty, takes away the difficult decision-making when the fog descends, just pick a card at random and enjoy.

Yayyy! I’ve been waiting for this for weeks since I pre-ordered it! My first buddy box from @theblurtfoundation featuring their new book ‘365 days of self care: a journal’. This year I’ve already read another of their self care books and would highly recommend searching for The Blurt Foundation and Jayne Hardy @jaynehardy_ Each buddy box has a particular theme with this one focusing on self care and the barriers to self care.
